SES 12th International Conference and Covid-19

Dear Colleagues

Due to the situation caused by the spread of COVID 19, we cannot know at this time if the 12th International Conference of the Society for Emblem Studies will take place as scheduled. 

We sincerely hope to maintain the original schedule, and we plan to issue a final decision by May 15, according to the circumstances. The University of Coimbra has cancelled all classes and cultural activities until April 9 at the earliest. Should the University issue instructions to postpone the meeting, we will immediately inform you with further details on the new dates and refund policy. 

Knowing that everything will be particularly unpredictable during the next weeks, we decided to extend the deadline for reduced fees until April 30, 2020. Please check it here: https://lojas.ci.uc.pt/uc/index.php?cPath=28_392

We are still optimistic, but the Society for Emblem Studies and the Interuniversitary Research Centre for Camonian Studies are totally available to reschedule the Congress if necessary.  

Along the last days all over Europe, the rainbow has been used as a symbol of hope and serenity, exactly as Paradin taught us with the motto “The rainbow brings fair weather”.

Sooner or later, the rain will pass and sunny Coimbra will be here to welcome you!
